La Residence is a sensational hotel with luxurious accommodations in Franschhoek. This is the place to stay at if you want a truly unique experience and be treated like royalties, from day to night. Just to be able to wander the hotel's own vineyards is absolutely incredible. We know however that a stay here is a bit pricey to say the least, but it's definitely worth every penny if you ask us!

During a summer trip in South Africa we had the opportunity to spend some days at this 5 star boutique hotel - and we couldn't be more pleased. We were blown away by the charm and sophistication - and the private vineyard tours were captivating. Our fantastic suite had a balcony overlooking the sweeping landscape — perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset wine. If you want an luxurious winecation (if that's even a word?) this is a must-visit!

Waking up to the endless vineyard views and sipping exquisite estate wines on our private terrace - was everything we hoped for and more.
