As self-proclaimed experts of finding the world's best winery hotels, we honestly can say that very few rise to the same level as the outstanding The Marlborough. With its exceptional location in Marlborough it offers the most tranquil and romantic atmosphere. We had pleasure of staying in one of their 14 luxurious rooms, and it was beyond magical. The staff is world class, the breathtaking views of the vineyards is unbeatable and the fantastic local food and wine is something we still dream about.
For a long time we had been trying to find availability at the Gibbston Valley Lodge and Spa, and when we finally succeeded we definitely weren't disappointed. It's an absolutely incredible adults-only hotel, set in the most perfect location in Central Otago! We really loved everything. From the gorgeous suite we had, to the photogenic surroundings with beautiful views wherever we looked. But in our opinion the main highlight was the exceptional winery restaurants serving gourmet food and unforgettable dishes. We only wish we had booked a longer stay.
