For a long time we had been trying to find availability at the Gibbston Valley Lodge and Spa, and when we finally succeeded we definitely weren't disappointed. It's an absolutely incredible adults-only hotel, set in the most perfect location in Otago! We really loved everything. From the gorgeous suite we had, to the photogenic surroundings with beautiful views wherever we looked. But in our opinion the main highlight was the exceptional winery restaurants serving gourmet food and unforgettable dishes. We only wish we had booked a longer stay.
Not long ago, we had the absolute pleasure to stay a couple of nights at Towan House at Carrick Winery. A stunning boutique hotel embedded in vineyards and some of the most beautiful landscapes of Otago. Waking up to the endless vineyard views and sipping exquisite estate wines on our private terrace - was everything we hoped for and more. The 1 rooms are warm and cozy, and the staff treats you like family. If you crave an authentic, indulgent wine-country experience, this is the place!
